My strike eagle buddies see this all the time, but the LITENING targetting pod is new to the B-52. Check out a video of my laser guided bomb shacking a cargo container at the Utah Test and Training Range (15.6 MB Windows Media file).

You make a good point. We were doing a buddy lase, so the pod was on another buff. The RADAR Nav on my jet aimed and dropped the bomb. But the buck stops with me. If it falls off my jet, then I am responsible for it. Its my jet, my wings, and yes my bomb. :)

I'm going to HQ AF/A9. What is A9? Exactly. It is a back water directorate that no one knows about. Hopefully, I can get promoted out of there, but who knows. I have a feeling it is a passed over O-4 kind of job. The good news is that it is in a great location.
Vegas isn't too bad. You should think about going there.
