The centerpiece of ND's campus is the golden dome upon which a statue of Our Lady watches over the campus. A bit of trivia: the dome is not the highest point on campus. The crucifix atop the steeple of the Basilica is. But the golden dome is the central image of Our Lady's University, hence the students call themselves "domers." Check out this photo
